OneNote: Where are my notebooks saved?

Notebooks are saved to your M365 account in the following locations:

Personal Notebooks

Class Notebooks

Staff Notebooks

Personal notebooks are saved to your OneDrive.

Typically, they will be saved to the default folder 'Notebooks', unless you have selected to save them elsewhere.

Since 2021, all class notebooks have been attached/saved to a class team.

You can see ALL your class notebooks by logging into your M365 account in the browser > open the OneNote app > click on the class notebook tab in the toolbar to see a list of your class notebooks.

Since 2022 all 'master' Staff Notebooks are attached to the Department team.

Open your department team > click on the staff notebook

If you save a copy of your class notebooks, they will be saved to this 'Notebooks' folder in your OneDrive.

If other staff have shared personal notebooks with you, go to your Shared library in OneDrive online to locate these notebooks You can save your class notebooks to your personal OneDrive at the end of the year (so you have a personal copy)
