Class Notebook: How do I save a copy of my class notebook?
At Scotch College, we encourage our students to save a copy of their class notebook(s) at the end of each calendar year or at the completion of a semester subject.
This feature is beneficial for students who are leaving the school or graduating and want to have access to resources and work they completed during their time at Scotch. Likewise, Teachers can also save a copy of their class notebooks if they are leaving the College.
Students can access their previous years' class notebooks by going back into their class team through the Teams app (old teams are not deleted for this reason). However, this only works if you have a Scotch account (current staff or student).
Follow these steps to Save a Copy
**If you are leaving Scotch, you will require a personal or new work OneDrive account to be the new location to save your existing notebooks.
1. Sign into Office Online and open the OneNote app.
2. Click on Class Notebooks.
3. Click on the [...] next to the notebook you want to save.
4. Select "Save a Copy."
5. Select the location you want to save it to.
If you select "Save to Work or School Account," it will save it to your Scotch OneDrive. If you want to save it to a personal OneDrive account, select the other option (you will need to sign into your new account).
6. Open the OneDrive app to see where it was saved.
**Notebooks get saved to the default OneNote folder in your OneDrive.
