Class Notebook: Overview
At Scotch, all Class Notebooks are attached to a Microsoft Class Team.
- Students are automatically added to the class notebook when added to the Class team.
- Teachers are responsible for editing and managing the content of their class notebooks.
WHAT IS CLASS NOTEBOOK?
Microsoft Class Notebook is like a digital binder, an online notebook where teachers can create and organise course materials, distribute work, and collaborate with students.
Because the binder is digital, you can also hyperlink text, embed video and audio, add drawings, insert images, and so much more.
It's an incredible tool for differentiating instructional methods and personalising learning opportunities for students.
Class Notebook provides:
Creation of module content
Inbuilt assistive learning tools
Written, audio and visual representations of content
Monitor student work closely
Provide various modes of feedback
Distribute work easily to students
Flexible collaboration space
Teacher Only space
Share resources easily with colleagues and across classes
Directly embed digital content and resources

A Class Notebook includes three types of sub-notebooks
There is also a "TEACHER ONLY SECTION"—a private space for teachers to put content that is not visible to students.

NB: To reopen the notebook, you can click on the [Add Notebook] tab (bottom of the screen), and your recent notebooks will appear.
