JAMF – iPad Enrollment
JAMF helps manage and secure Apple devices for modern users. It solves IT problems, boosts security, and sets up devices to reduce disruptions. Its Self Service app catalogue offers resources when needed.
Step 1: Perform iPadOSUpdates
Note: Update your iPad OS to the latest version before starting this process.
Open System Settings and click General => Software Update. Download and install if you see any available update.

Step 2: Setup Device Name
Change the device name to the following format before commencing the process. This is a crucial step, as incorrect naming may result in the device being removed from JAMF. This is essential for identification and ensuring correct network functionality.
Required Format:
BYOD – iPad - FirstName LastName – StudentID
Example:
BYOD – iPad – Jack Smith – GS1002
Open the System Settings on your iPad and Click General => About

Type your name in the same format as requested; make sure to type your own first and last name and student ID.

Once done, click either the Done key on the keyboard or simply click About, and it will save the device name.
Step 3: Enroll your iPad
Follow the steps below to enroll your iPad device in Jamf.
- From the Home screen go to Safari
- Navigate to https://scotch.jamfcloud.com/enroll

- Enter your Scotch Global student ID and password.

- Select Continue, then Allow, then Close

Step 4: Install the profile
Open the Settings app and tap 'Profile Downloaded', followed by 'MDM Profile'.

After entering your iPad passcode, click ‘Install’ several times and then ‘Trust’ and ‘Done’.

Once all the profiles installed, you will see Self Service app on your iPad; you can install any app from the Self Service as per your requirements.
