Using SEQTA Direqt messaging when email services are down
Year 12 students and teachers can use SEQTA Direqt messaging as an alternative communication tool while email services are unavailable (i.e., during the M365 data migration).
CHECKING FOR MESSAGES
- You can check for messages by clicking on the Direqt Message menu tab > Inbox
- When you receive a new Direqt Message, a new notification will appear in the top-right corner.


SENDING MESSAGES
- to Individuals [staff & students]

1. Click "New Message" from the Direqt messages page (see images above). Staff can click on the envelope symbol [top right menu bar] to quickly open a new message composition box
2. Enter Student or Staff name
3. Click on the [Add files] button (if applicable)

to Whole Class [teacher only]
Teachers can send messages to the whole class via the Marks book or Attendance roll > click on the Direqt message button.

Please note:
- Student names will appear in the message composition box (see below image).
- Teachers can remove students from the email by clicking the trash can next to the student's name.
- Teachers can keep the recipient list private by ticking the (BCC) box
- Attach files by clicking on the [Add files] button
