Data Migration - What to do on Phones and Non-Scotch Devices
The following page provides additional instructions to support the key processes that need to occur on Mobile Phones and Non-Scotch devices (such as personal computers). If you have any specific concerns about data that may be lost in the migration, please arrange a time to meet with an ILT ES or Tech Centre staff member to discuss your concerns.
MIGRATION WILL TAKE PLACE FROM FRIDAY, 3:30pm SEPTEMBER 22ND TO THURSDAY 7am, SEPTEMBER 28TH.
During this time, you will not have access to any of your online files, Class Notebooks, Teams, or other Microsoft Suite applications. Therefore, the following will need to be completed prior to September 22nd:
* PRIOR TO MIGRATION *
STEP 1: Log out of all Scotch Accounts on your mobile device and any non-Scotch personal devices.
This includes Outlook, Teams, OneNote, OneDrive and Microsoft Authenticator App.
Please note:
-
Non-Scotch devices: such as personal desktops and laptops, etc. Please DO NOT leave OneNote Notebooks open; you will only be able to leave them open on your Scotch Laptops. Refer to the guide above for instructions on closing notebooks.
-
Scotch provided mobile phones: the Microsoft apps will be removed from your device (Word, OneDrive, Excel, Teams, OneNote, etc.) However, Outlook and the Authenticator App will NOT be removed but you will still need to sign out of your Scotch Account in these two applications. Refer to the guides above for instructions.
**POST MIGRATION**
You will need to log back into your Scotch Account on all personal devices.
