Prepare for Laptop Upgrade
Students are scheduled to receive a new MacBook Air M3 that they will use for Year 11 and Year 12. Laptop Swap appointments will start the week before Spring term opens for Senior School and the Booking page is now open for your son to choose his preferred time. Please refer to the booking link sent from the Technology Operations Coordinator, Linda Gauld.

How to prepare for the appointment?
All students should be saving their files to OneDrive. Step-by-step instructions are attached. Assistance is also available by visiting the ILTES in the SS Library or popping into the Tech Centre at recess or lunchtime. Note that we are also open during the holidays (excluding the public holidays).
- Ensure all files are saved to One Drive (please refer to the attached document).
- Please bring the laptop and power adapter to the appointment [Non-returns will incur a charge of $98.00]
- Laptops should be cleaned with all stickers removed.
- The Scotch College asset sticker on the bottom case should not be removed.
- The new laptops will have an STM Clam Shell, which is warrantable. We can replace it with a new one providing the broken one is returned.
- NOTE: Appointments will be held in the Lower Library (Tech Centre area)
Apple Care + Service Conditions
The laptops will be inspected by our Apple-authorised technician and repaired if necessary. Damaged laptops will incur a charge but will be processed under Apple Care + which reduces the cost.
Charges will be applied to your account. Please refer to the attached ILT Device Fact sheet for more information on Acceptable Wear & Tear conditions.
