Class Notebook - Managing Group Work in the Collaboration Space
Collaboration Space Permissions
Teachers can manage the collaboration space permissions so that only group members can edit and access their section.
This feature is great for assessment tasks where you don’t want groups to see each other’s planning and work.
Having all groups work from a central location cuts down on admin time and allows teachers to easily monitor group progress and provide feedback where necessary.
To edit Collaboration Space permissions,
1. Click on the Class Notebook tab in OneNote > Manage Notebooks (you will be redirected to OneNote Online and asked to sign in).
or
2. Log into your Microsoft 365 account > select Class Notebook App, > Manage Notebooks > Select the relevant notebook.
In the Manage Notebook space, teachers can create new student sections, lock and unlock the collaboration space, and select specific permissions for collaboration folders (see image below).
To edit collaboration space permissions, click on the pencil icon (see image below). Tick the students you want to have access to the folder.
NB: By default, all students have access to collaboration folders unless the teacher modifies permissions.
